A small collection of calm, transparent calculators built to help people understand the math behind common money decisions.
Why we built it
Many financial calculators online are cluttered with ads, lead-capture forms or opaque results. LedgerLab takes the opposite approach: each tool does one thing, shows its working, and explains the formula in plain language.
Educational purpose
These tools are designed for learning and rough planning. They are meant to help you:
- Build intuition for concepts like compounding, amortisation and inflation.
- Compare scenarios side by side (for example, with and without extra payments).
- Prepare better questions before speaking with a qualified professional.
Privacy
Every calculation runs locally in your browser using plain JavaScript. Nothing you type is stored, sent to a server or shared. There are no cookies or analytics; the only external request is loading the Fraunces and Inter web fonts from Google Fonts. The currency converter only uses the exchange rate you enter.
Limitations
Real-world finances involve taxes, fees, changing rates and personal circumstances that simple models can't capture. Treat results as estimates, and read our disclaimer.
